JERI Conference: 8 November 2016

The JERI (Journée d'Étude de la Route et des Infrastructures in French) conference is jointly organised by Nibuxs, the Lavoc, Infralab and the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.

The theme of this day will be: "Mastering Alteration".

CONTEXTE

The civil engineering profession likes balance and stability. In the field of infrastructures, our job consists in designing them in such a way as to increase their lifespan as much as possible, while minimizing the interventions necessary to guarantee their proper functioning. But as implacable and ingenious as we are, we must admit that everything we do ends up being the victim of a universal phenomenon: alteration!

This year's 2016 JERI conference will address the theme of the use of geogrids in pavement reinforcements, a subject by which our activity is naturally concerned.

From project owners to contractors, suppliers and technical agents, we are confronted with the same questions on a daily basis:

• What are the real possibilities of these reinforcement solutions?
  

• To what extent is it necessary to integrate geogrid into structural reinforcement?
  
• Which type of geogrid to choose according to your project?
  
• What can reasonably be provided or required in terms of guarantees?
