JERI CONFERENCE // MARDI 25 NOVEMBRE 2014

The JERI (Journée d'Étude de la Route et des Infrastructures in French) conference, the outcome of technical days previously organised by the Laboratoire des voies de circulation (Lavoc) of EPFL, is jointly organised by Nibuxs, Le Lavoc and Infralab.

Our company has an infrastructure portfolio of considerable value. As a logical consequence of this opulence, an increasing proportion of maintenance work is carried out on existing elements or in an already heavily built environment. At the same time, the techniques available for preserving this heritage are constantly evolving, in particular through proposals from companies or agents. The introduction of novelty in an existing system considerably increases the need for communication between the actors of the construction industry.

From project owners to contractors, suppliers and technical agents, we are confronted with the same questions on a daily basis:

• What are the real possibilities of new techniques?
  
• What can reasonably be provided or required in terms of security?
  
• On the basis of what assumptions are these possibilities and guarantees defined?
