Biaxial geogrids

Biaxial geogrids are made of various materials depending on their use. Their design, with a strong orientation in two axes, gives them maximum resistance to elongation when subjected to high tensile loads for long periods. Biaxial geogrids are mainly used in road construction, often composed of glass fibres (anti-cracking) or carbon (anti-cracking and structural reinforcement). The openings of this geogrid (mesh) allow the nesting of aggregates between them, which is why it is important to use flexible geogrids in order to optimize this phenomenon intrinsic to bituminous pavements (mechanical indentation).
