What could be more sensitive to fissuring than a fragile resin?

Besides the problems naturally caused by the fissuring (water infiltrations, acceleration of the phenomenon of degradation...), a particularly sensitive disadvantage on a tennis court is felt: the false rebounds due to the singularities of the ground.

A tennis court made of bituminous asphalt can be reinforced with a geogrid, thus prolonging its life by limiting the risk of fissuring the surface layers.

L'expertise TEXUM

Different types of tennis courts surfaces can be affected by this problem. Synthetic resins are particularly so, being very rigid and sensitive to fissuring.

The integration of a geogrid before paving the asphalt layer allows the tensile forces to be absorbed within the structure, even before they can damage the surface layer.
